Due July 29: The Indiana Department of Environmental Management is accepting applications for $50,000 to $500,000 in grant funding through the Recycling Market Development Program (RMDP).
Due Aug. 3: The State of Maine is seeking proposals for a stewardship organization (SO) to operate the Stewardship Program for Packaging (Program) for a maximum 10-year period. This RFP provides details for how the SO will establish and operate the Stewardship Program for Packaging pursuant to 38 M.R.S. 2146 and 06-096 C.M.R. ch. 428, with the goals of reducing the burden to municipalities of managing packaging waste and improving the design and management of packaging material.
Due June 24: San Diego County, California issued an RFP for mobile electronic device recycling services covering cell phones, smartphones, tablets, Bluetooth devices, and mobile hotspots, with requirements for R2v3/ISO 14001 certification and no-cost data destruction.
Due July 14: DeKalb County School District, Stone Mountain, Georgia issued an RFP for an electronic recycling program covering collection and recycling of surplus technology equipment including computers, displays, smartboards, networking devices, AV equipment, and peripheral electronics.
Due June 29: Richard Bland College, Prince George, Virginia issued an RFP for waste removal and recycling services.
Due June 24: The Cherokee Nation, Tahlequah, Oklahoma issued an RFP for trash, recycling, and litter services.
Due Aug. 11: The Borough of Seaside Park, New Jersey issued an RFP for solid waste and recycling collection services.
Due July 2: The City of Albany, New York issued an RFP for waste and recycling pickup services.
Due July 9: Charlotte County Public Schools, Port Charlotte, Florida issued an RFP for single-stream recycling services across all administrative, educational, and athletic facilities.
Due June 26: Rio Rancho Public Schools, New Mexico issued an RFP for refuse and recycling collection services.
Due June 30: The City of Auburn, Alabama issued an RFP for recycling processing services.
Due July 1: Georgetown County, South Carolina issued an RFP for used lead-acid battery pick-up and recycling services.
Due June 15: The Township of Old Bridge, New Jersey issued an RFP for electronics recycling services.
The City of Fresno, CA issued an RFP for refuse and recycling collection services.
Due June 10: The U.S. Army Contracting Command (Picatinny Arsenal) issued an RFP for refuse collection and recycling services at the Cumberland, MD installation (Solicitation W15QKN26QA021).
Due June 18: Schuyler County, NY issued an RFP for household hazardous waste collection and electronics recycling services for its annual HHW Day event in Watkins Glen.
Due June 11: The Town of Trumbull, CT issued an RFP for municipal solid waste and recycling services.
Due June 10, the Borough of Point Pleasant Beach, NJ issued an RFP for refuse and recycling removal services.
Due June 25: Mecklenburg County, NC issued an RFP for electronics collection, disposal, and recycling services (RECY-7383-USA) for collection, transportation, and de-manufacturing of e-waste at county facilities.
Due June 16: The City of Anoka, MN issued an RFP for organized residential solid waste collection, yard waste, recycling, and organics collection services, due by June 16.
May 18, 2026: The Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) is accepting applications through June 26, 2026, for up to $100,000 in funding for recycling and HHW collection and disposal from the agency’s Community Recycling Grant Program.
RFP May 15, 2026: The City of Bellingham, Washington, is requesting proposals from qualified firms to partner with the city for the surplus sales of the city-owned electronic devices and equipment.
May 11, 2026: The Glass Recycling Foundation is accepting applications for grants for supply-chain/end-market demonstration and public education projects through July 10.
RFP May 7, 2026: The Maine Beverage Redemption Group issued an RFP for implementing an operations plan to improve efficiency and reduce costs in the state’s deposit return system, due by June 5.
RFP May 6, 2026: Orange County, Florida announces a Pre-Solicitation Market Sounding Event to provide project updates and obtain additional industry feedback on its plans for an RFP for long-term single-stream recyclables processing.
April 17, 2026: PMMI is establishing the PACK gives BACK Charitable Foundation, backed by an initial $6 million investment from PMMI’s reserve fund.
April 15, 2026: The Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (MassDEP) is accepting applications for its 2026 Reduce, Reuse, Repair Micro-Grant Program.
March 24, 2026: The Oregon DEQ is accepting applications for $2 million in grant funding from its Reduce, Reuse, Reimagine Grant program, through April 30.
March 23, 2026: The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency is offering about $250,000 in grant funding to help the state’s entities reuse materials to reduce waste and reduce toxic chemicals in hair products, through April 28.
March 11, 2026: The Foodservice Packaging Institute’s Foam Recycling Coalition is accepting applications for grants of up to $50,000 to expand EPS foam recycling, through April 17.
Feb. 9, 2026: The US EPA awarded $12 million in Brownfields Job Training Grants to 25 applicants in communities across the United States, to help recruit, train and place workers for community revitalization and cleanup projects at Brownfield sites.
Feb. 2, 2026: eBay Circular Fashion Fund is accepting applications through March 8 from businesses and startups developing solutions to extend the life of clothing and reduce textile waste, for eight $50,000 grants and one additional $300,000 award.
Jan. 26, 2026: Grocery chain Meijer is testing Tomra‘s new large-capacity bottle return machines at two locations in Michigan, through a grant from the state’s Department of Environment, Great Lakes and Energy.
Jan. 19, 2026: The Indiana Department of Environmental Management awarded $500,000 in Community Recycling Grants to 12 applicants.
Jan. 19, 2026: The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency is accepting applications for $10 million in composting infrastructure grants through April 15.
Jan. 12, 2026: The US Department of Energy awarded Texas-based mining company AMERMIN an $11.5 million grant to scale its tungsten carbide recycling process.
Jan. 12, 2026: Blue Whale Materials was awarded a $55 million grant from the US DOE to expand its lithium-ion battery recycling facility in Oklahoma.
