in Industry Announcements

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission determined that a resolution from shareholder representative group As You Sow should be included in PepsiCo‘s proxy materials to be considered at its upcoming annual shareholder meeting. The resolution urges the company to work to reduce plastic pollution, and PepsiCo had argued to exclude it.

Chemical giant BASF signed a long-term offtake agreement for pyrolysis oil from Braven Environmental‘s planned chemical recycling plant in Texas, for use as feedstock in its BASF TotalEnergies chemicals plant in Port Arthur.

The Miami-Dade Innovation Authority invited local and global early to growth-stage companies to submit innovative solutions for diverting and reducing materials for its fifth Public Innovation Challenge, which is open through April 21.
