AIMPLAS participated in a project to recycle blended cotton and polyester fabric into recycled polyester and lactic acid.

Alter Trading Corporation, a Missouri-headquartered metals recycling firm that handles e-scrap, purchased the operating assets of Mississippi-based metals recycling company Martin Brothers Recycling.

Call2Recycle announced nearly 12.8 million pounds of batteries were collected for recycling in Canada in 2023, the highest year of collections since the program started in 1997.

New York-based Interstate Waste Services plans to acquire Connecticut-based Oak Ridge Waste & Recycling for an undisclosed amount. 

Keurig Dr Pepper hired John Caturano as director of sustainability – packaging and product stewardship. Caturano previously served as a sustainability executive at Nestlé and Nestlé Waters.

Solarcycle invested $344 million in a solar glass recycling and manufacturing facility in Cedartown, Georgia. The plant will use recycled materials from end-of-life solar panels to produce new products.

The Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA) approved a new technical policy endorsing container deposit return systems, provided they meet certain criteria.

The United States Composting Council formed a new official chapter, the Georgia Composting Council. 

Urbaser bought an AI-powered robot from Recycleye for use on the residual line at one of Urbaser’s Spanish facilities.
