FROM RESOURCE RECYCLING:

CalRecycle received notice from dealer cooperative Circular CRV Association of changes to its stewardship plan, including updates to dealer members and redemption sites.

British Columbia’s Coast Waste Management Association featured Chloe Dubois of the Ocean Legacy Foundation and Peter Grant of Salt Spring Island Community Services in Legends & Prospects interviews.

Illinois launched its PaintCare stewardship program, becoming the 11th state to roll out the program.

NH Recycles announced winners of its 2025 recycling awards, including textile recycler Apparel Impact.

Graphic Packaging announced Robbert Rietbroek would become president and CEO as of Jan. 1, succeeding Michael P. Doss. 

REGroup and CP Group are partnering to build an advanced MRF in Halifax, Nova Scotia, as part of the province’s new packaging EPR program.

FROM PLASTICS RECYCLING UPDATE:

Packager ALPLA is launching a four-year pilot program in the Netherlands to evaluate a solvent-based recycling process to produce food-grade HDPE.

Investment firm Circulate Capital entered the Malaysian market with an investment in See Hau Global, a polyolefin recycler and plastic pallet manufacturer (Intraco Pallet), to help scale its recycling and manufacturing platform. 

Merlin Plastics CEO Tony Moucachen was featured in a Legends & Prospects interview from Canada’s Coast Waste Management Association.

FROM E-SCRAP NEWS:

The City of Modesto in California is running a household battery collection pilot program until January 2027, funded by a grant from CalRecycle.

Compucycle became the only woman-owned electronics processor in Texas to obtain ISO 27001 data security certification.

FedEx was recognized by the Sustainable Purchasing Leadership Council for its e-waste collection pilot, which took place in 2024 near Nashville.
