The Association of Plastic Recyclers (APR) launched a Global Design Guidance Platform, which includes guidance from Denmark, the EU, France, Germany, Netherlands, South Africa, South Korea, Sweden and the U.K. and covers recyclability evaluations for rigid PET, rigid HDPE, rigid PP and flexible PE film packaging, with more countries and features to be added. 

Reynolds Consumer Products and Dow announced the Hefty EnergyBag program is collaborating with ByFusion on a pilot project to turn hard-to-recycle plastic collected in Boise, Idaho into ByBlocks, a building material.

Boston-based Green Century Capital Management said 59% of Tyson Foods independent shareholders supported a proposal asking Tyson Foods to use less virgin plastic and more recycled materials. 

Honeywell will supply TotalEnergies with recycled polymer feedstock (RPF) at the recently announced Honeywell and Sacyr chemical recycling plant that will be built in Andalucía, Spain. 

PET producer Indorama Ventures Public Company Limited (IVL) acquired an 85% stake in Czechia-based PET reclaimer UCY Polymers CZ (UCY). 

Wisconsin’s Outagamie County Recycling and Solid Waste received a $50,000 grant from the Foodservice Packaging Institute’s Foam Recycling Coalition to add a foam densifier to its Resource Recovery Park, allowing it to accept polystyrene foam products. 

RePurpose Global partnered with 100 personal care brands across 15 countries to reduce  global plastic pollution and provide an income stream for waste workers by helping the companies go plastic neutral, plastic negative or pledge waste removal. 

Sorema unveiled a de-inking recycling system that is upstream of the extrusion phase. It uses an advanced washing system and chemical additives that can adjust to specific inks and materials.
