The Alabama Department of Environmental Management is awarding almost $2.5 million in recycling grants.

EverestLabs has launched Navigator, a multi-agent AI platform purposely-built for material processing, recovery and recycling facilities.

Republic Services and Coconut Creek announced Florida’s first fully electric residential recycling and waste collection fleet.

August 18

Closed Loop Partners‘ Closed Loop Center for the Circular Economy released the “Scaling Citywide Behavior” report.

Spain delayed the start of its beverage container deposit return system, and has not yet determined an official start date.

August 17

Blue Point Capital Partners has acquired Dumpsters.com.

August 25

Pakistani PET producer Novatex installed a Starlinger bottle-to-bottle recycling system at its facility near Lahore, adding up to 3,000 kg/hour (6,600 lb/hour) of food-contact RPET.

Rubbermaid is expanding its Brilliance food-storage portfolio to include Eastman Tritan Renew resin. The copolyester is made with certified recycled content from the flagship Kingsport methanolysis plant.

The line originally launched in 2016 with legacy Tritan copolyester.

Suppliers Partnership for the Environment released new circular automotive packaging guidance.

Trex appointed Brian J. Taylor as the company’s first chief commercial officer.

August 20

Beverage bottler Asahi is switching to 100% recycled plastic for all its soft drink bottles in Australia, including such brands as Schweppes and Pepsi.

August 18

Caracal Products & Services is expanding its health care recycling with a new location in Charlotte, North Carolina, to sort, handle and bale recyclable commonly discarded materials including PE and PP from operating rooms, plastic bags, shrink wrap and cardboard.

August 17

Clean-Seas, a subsidiary of Clean Vision Corp., received an air-quality permit from the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection for its planned pyrolysis facility in Belle.

August 13

PepsiCo increased its use of recycled plastic in 2025 to 18%, with PET the second largest share of its packaging materials at 30%, behind paper fiber (34%).

August 7

The Oregon DEQ extended the public comment period for Circular Action Alliance‘s 2025 annual report, to Sept. 10. Send comments to rethinkrecycling@deq.oregon.gov.

Japanese cosmetics brand KANEBO has selected Eastman‘s Cristal One IM812 specialty PET resin for the overcap of its new Generating Essentials Treatment Lotion.

Swiss ICM AG is offering virtual access to its Battery Recycling Congress, Sept. 9-11 in Berlin, Germany.

The Northwest Iowa Landfill in Sheldon installed special battery collection bins to provide consumers a drop-off point for recycling.

ITAD firm SK Tes released its sustainability report, indicating the company sold or recycled nearly all end-of-life devices it handled in 2025.

August 24

Comstock Inc. completed the sale of its mineral, mining, processing and mining-related real estate entities to Mackay Gold & Silver.

Princeton NuEnergy won a $50 million grant from the US Department of Energy toward a $110 million facility to process nickel-based lithium-ion battery manufacturing scrap.

August 18

The state of Washington continues to outpace its year-to-date e-scrap collection volume for this year as compared to last year.

Tesla said its EV battery recycling operations now recovers more than 90% of minerals from the devices; expectations are to process 6,000 metric tons of material this year at two US sites.

Ramaco Resources has partnered with roboLoop for the testing and potential purchase of gallium-rich e-scrap materials roboLoop processes. Ramaco also partnered with Bedrock Semiconductor to supply raw materials for its semiconductor devices.
