An auction is being held for glass recycling equipment that belonged to Pace Glass, a once-promising venture that closed recently.

A.J. Willner Auctions is holding an online auction for glass sorting and processing equipment left by Pace in Jersey City, N.J. The same auction house already held an auction for Pace Glass’s equipment left in the central New Jersey borough of Andover.

Before its closure, Pace Glass was working to build a huge glass sorting and cleanup facility that was supposed to be capable of production capacity of 15,000 tons of commercial-grade cullet per week. State authorities believe the company stopped operating in 2020. Photos from the Jersey City plant show large weeds growing out of piles of cullet.

The Jersey City auction includes many different types of equipment, including Sesotec K9 Basic Separator Units, which sort glass by color and remove contaminants, as well as magnetic sorting equipment and various screens, feeders, conveyors and more. Bids will be accepted until April 13 at 11 a.m. Eastern time.
