News from Reloop North America, Stillwater Utilities Authority and more

The Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries named Sonoco Alloyd the 2022 Design for Recycling Award Winner for its EnviroSense PaperBlister plastic-free package. 

The International Aluminium Association released a study that concluded aluminum cans best support a circular economy. 

PepsiCo pledged to reduce its single-use packaging, following pressure by activist investor group As You Sows. 

Reloop North America released a report on modernizing deposit return systems in the northeastern U.S.

Stillwater Utilities Authority brought back cardboard recycling and changed its glass recycling agreement to save the city $19 a ton. 

The Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA) Applied Research Foundation released a report on how to optimize collections amid staff shortages.  

UBQ Materials was named a winner of the SXSW Innovation Awards in the Speculative Design category for developing a waste-based 3D printer filament.
